The Wind Turbines made sleep impossible

wednesday December 7,2011

By Ann Widdecombe

CONGRATULATIONS to Julian and Sarah Jane Davis who have won a large amount of compensation after suffering the misery of a giant eight-turbine wind farm being erected a mere half mile from their pleasant country home.

The wretched device that will, like all its counterparts wreck the countryside but deliver precious little energy, made sleep impossible, warranted a council tax reduction and left them unable to sell their home.

Coleford is a place of Beauty and History, lets keep it that way!

On Tuesday 6th December 2011 a turbine erected earlier this year at Scapegoat Hill, Huddersfield fell over in high winds.

On Wednesday 7th December 2011 a turbine at Coldingham in the Scottish Highlands was brought crashing down in high wind (pictured).

On Thursday 8th December 2011 a turbine exploded like a giant catherine wheel showering the countryside with burning debris in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire -

The Government and manufacturers maintain incidents are rare.

All three turbines were similar in size to the one proposed here.
